Celebrations are smaller, shorter, and muted this year amid fears of COVID outbreaks. Things are not normal and everyone needs to realize it NOW. Most New Year celebrations are affected by the pandemic to limit crowds that can spread the global pandemic. The year 2020 was like a dumpster fire approaching a meltdown.
Only time will tell if the year 2021 is going to bring happy and healthy news about the global pandemic in the coming months. With the world approaching 83 million cases and 2 million deaths, there appears to be no end in sight.
The safest way to celebrate the winter holidays is to stay at home with the people you live with. Travel and gatherings with family and friends who do not live with you can increase your chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu.
