While POTUS enters the political year 2022 The Democrats appear determined to address the ugly GOP elephant in the recovery room.
The real Republicans and The Democrats are reaching across the aisle to stand up for the US Constitution and save our young American Democracy.
For his first year in office, President Joe Biden apparently felt that he could heal the nation and delete the divisiveness of the former guy by restoring a sense of normalcy to the White House, practicing the traditional brand of politics he learned over decades serving in the US Senate and as vice president. Now, the gloves are off and there will be more Mr. Nice guy.
We have now seen that our political system needs more leaders with a backbone. Former Vice President Dick Cheney was roundly criticized by Democrats during and after his tenure under President George W. Bush, in part because of what was seen as his contributions to the push for the war in Iraq.
Yesterday, former VP Dick and his daughter a Republican Congresswoman representing the people of Wyoming became the only two to participate in a Democrat-led moment of silence to commemorate the invasion of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

President Joe Biden took off his gloves by stating “We are in a battle for the soul of America,” he said. Biden laid the blame for the insurrection at the feet of Trump — although Biden didn’t cite Trump by name, he said, “the former president who lies about this election, and the mob that attacked this Capitol, could not be further away from the core American values.”
