If you were one of the millions who watched last night's Superbowl XLVIII Blowout, you probably think some of those TV commercials were more interesting than the actual game.

Seattle Seahawks took an early lead over the Denver Broncos and held onto it for a final score of 43-8.

TV commercials offered light humor and a wide variety of emotional themes. These were an eclectic mix from Pandora to Cheerios and some of them included celebrities.

HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS

The New York City Office of Emergency Management has issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory for Mon, February 3.

The National Weather Service has expects 3 to 5 inches of snow accumulation through Monday evening. Light snow will develop in the morning with the heavy snow.

Snow will begin to taper off by the early evening. Temperatures will be in the 30s. The Department of Sanitation has issued a Snow Alert for Mon, February 3.

The plow tracker will be available at nyc.gov/severeweather in the morning.

The following are just some of the economic benefits to New York as a result of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Empire State Development has estimated that 1.5 million people visited Super Bowl Boulevard during four days and that spending by visitors will generate an estimated $280-300 million in economic activity in New York State. The majority of Super Bowl events and the accompanying visitor spending will occur primarily within New York and the revenue generated will benefit the entire state.

New York and New Jersey football fans are counting down the hours before Super Bowl, with Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos get ready to fight it out o the gridiron in one of the most exciting events of an NFL season in many years.

Denver and Seattle have one thing in common. Their primary focus is to win The Superbowl.

Preparations have been completed and now all is set for an early evening kickoff. All eyes will either be on the field, or the TV screens as Super Bowl 48 is played out in suburban East Rutherford, New Jersey at Met Life Stadium.

NYC Street Closures

Broadway from 34th Street to 47th Street and 41st Street between 6th and 7th Avenues are closed Saturday and Sunday for the Super Bowl Boulevard event. There also will be parking restrictions on Saturday and Sunday throughout midtown Manhattan. There will be limited access and increased activity in and around the Lincoln Tunnel on Sunday. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, including the Holland Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge.

DONT DRINK OR TEXT AND DRIVE

New York State Police will join other law enforcement agencies, across the state, in a special effort to crackdown on impaired and distracted driving during Super Bowl Weekend. The statewide STOP-DWI and Texting-While-Driving Crackdown efforts will start on January 31st and will run through February 3rd. The New York State Police will be collaborating with County Sheriff and municipal law enforcement agencies across the state in this coordinated effort to reduce the number of alcohol related and distracted driving injuries and deaths.
