The Bronx Riviera

This one has to be filed as I will believe it whenever I actually see it only because I have heard this story way too many times before.

Just after moving to The Bronx in the 1990s to build and launch News 12, I returned to work in NYC long before the millennium. Since then, I began reading and listening to politicians yapping about giving a new facelift to Orchard Beach. This has been going on for four Mayors and some with several terms in office.

Dejavu all over again? Could it be true that the only man-made beach in the city could be getting a new life?

Americans have all read, seen, or heard about the South Florida condo that collapsed and killed dozens of its residents.

The death toll in the Florida condo building collapse went up to 95. According to the AP, the Miami-area condominium building collapse had rescue crews working for the 20th day to find victims in the rubble.

The Associated Press article explicitly states "condominiums". Doesn't this cover other residential buildings of similar construction with regard to structural and safety inspections?
