The Atlantic hurricane season is a period from June through November when hurricanes usually form in the Atlantic Ocean.

After a record-breaking Atlantic hurricane season in 2020, storm forecasting gets off to an earlier start this year thanks to consecutive years of pre-season activity.

Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin US Senate supporters are now saying they don't belong in office unless they help Democrats.

A DINO means they are Democrats in name only. Their jobs are to vote with their party for issues like a Commission to investigate the US Capitol insurrection, to approve a voting rights act, and abolish the filibuster as well as to support President Biden Democratic agenda. Why are these two are siding against their own party?

Locals are once again welcoming one and all to the bi-annual Arts and Crafts Fair on City Island - A Slice of NYC Paradise.

The City Island Chamber of Commerce was established over 100 years ago, formerly the Board of Trade, to unite the businesses of City Island. Though the mix of businesses has changed, we still believe that the same values and interests should hold us together.

Oops. Microsoft's Bing blocked—accidentally, it says—content in the U.S. deemed politically sensitive to Beijing on the June 4 anniversary of Tiananmen Square.

In particular, USA image searches for the “Tank Man” turned up nothing. Tank Man also known as the Unknown Protester and Unknown Rebel is the nickname of an unidentified Chinese man who stood in front of a column of tanks leaving Tiananmen Square on June 5, 1989, the day after the military had suppressed the Tiananmen Square protests.

Local news is becoming more difficult to find and the unfortunate outcome is that it keeps hurting our fragile American democracy.

The world needs more local news and less individual views. Two decades ago, I accepted a gracious offer from one of America’s wealthiest businessman. Chuck Dolan hired me to build, recruit, train and launch News 12 The Bronx. It was originally supposed to be as local as local news can get. We applied the term hyper local. https://bronx.news12.com/

Allow me to begin by saying that I worked for President HW Bush and it appears to me that he would be shocked by the following.

I am not a #Republican, I have no political affiliation but in terms of the Bush #GOP dynasty and the expanded family tree, George P. Bush is the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the nephew of former President George W. Bush, and the grandson of my former boss US president George H.W. Bush, and the great grandson of Senator Prescott Bush.

What makes a comedy real funny? Something that floats on the changing tides of time and taste, remaining relevant and hilarious?

It probably takes more than slapstick, like a pie in the face. We don’t have the answer, but with a partial list assembling some of the best comedies ever made, we’re getting closer to laugh-out-loud enlightenment than humanly thought possible. We’re talking about melting minds, splitting sides, and slapping knees, folks.
