As America approaches its 250th anniversary in 2026, our thought leaders are strengthening our democracy and civil society.

LAST GOP MODERATE

Mitt Romney plans to retire, saying that “a very large portion of my party really doesn’t believe in the Constitution.”

They say that good things don't last forever, and this is indeed true as Mitt's time in the US Senate is drawing to his decision.

I am not a registered Republican or a Democrat, and he is no certified angel, but I believe he is an honest and spiritual man, whic is a rarity for GOP politicians.

STAY IN THE USA

Why are some Americans dreaming about moving abroad and leaving their homeland? What’s going on here 22 years after 9/11?

Is it that the Summer holidays are now behind us and with them is the delusion that they are a step away from picking up and moving away to their most recent vacation?

Or maybe their social media feeds are full of “how I moved abroad and as “Mamma Mia” season nears its end, a relocation to Greece, Spain, or Portugal is looking better each day.

As a former GOP POTUS appointee I agree with published reports that Mitch McConnell is deserving the mocking and dissection.

Living a lifetime sowing good seeds leads to positive outcomes, but sowing bad ones has negative consequences.

The last democratically held US election resulted in this and since POTUS Joe Biden has been in The White House, Americans have seen positive results.

The Bible teaches that if we sow to please our own sinful nature, we will reap corruption. This principle is emphasized in Galatians 6:8, which says, “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

As Congress returns, not necessarily to work, Americans fear a desperate attempt at an impeachment and a government shutdown.

It mobilized 25K women in the streets of New York City's Fifth Avenue on October 23, 1915, advocating for women’s voting rights.

Then on this date in history, August 26, 1920, eight days after it was ratified, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution went into effect giving women the right to vote.

THE ELEPHANT BUM

The elephant was MIA, but with 81 felony charges, he's more of a flight-risk criminal defendant who claims he'll surrender for Fani.

There is an elephant in every room but Donald Trump wasn’t inside this one because he was apparently too scared. But about last night's debate, the only person on the stage with a spine was a woman. Vivek kissed up to the former guy, who's a fat bum, while Pence and  DeSantis bombed.
