Let the madness begin. The best postseason in sports has arrived in the form of college basketball.

This weekend, we’ll find out which teams are on the right side of the NCAA tournament bubble, if one-loss Gonzaga gets a coveted No. 1 seed and if Northwestern hears its name called on Selection Sunday for the first time ever.

Championship week auto bids gave some teams clarity, but March Madness is always full of surprises. Watch their selection process on Sunday at 5:30P on NCAA.com to find out whether your team celebrates.

Women have historically accounted for a smaller percentage of sworn police officers that men, with most of them holding clerical positions.

Ladies in law enforcement are inexplicitly resented by their male counterparts and many have faced several types of harassment.

However, the following females were well armed, dangerous and to be taken very seriously.

Cold As Ice

New York City saw a thirty-three degrees weather drop in 33 hours. A strange change in the weather pattern is bringing much colder and unsettled weather from the Northeast to the Mid-Atlantic over the next few days.

Temperatures will fall into the teens overnight as arctic cold moves into the region in the wake of the snow storm earlier.

Very Bad Day

International experts are tallying the economic costs of “A Day Without a Woman”, but global economists fear that if every working woman in America walked out for one day, the U.S. gross domestic product would take a $21-billion hit.

The figure doesn’t even count the labor of love from mom and grandmothers' unpaid job contributions, which aren’t factored into the GDP but would make the sum painfully higher.

Women’s annual share of our nation’s GDP amounts to $7.6 trillion. That’s greater than the $5.2-trillion GDP of Japan, which has the world’s third-largest economy.

Each and every year March 8 is the one day meant to tout all the social, economic, cultural and political successes of women while urging more gender equality.
