A federal jury in Boston returned a verdict in the federal trial of convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The young marathon bomber was already found guilty of planning and perpetrating the bombings, will be sentenced to either life in prison or the death penalty.

Jurors were asked to complete a 24-page form to work through the death penalty charges in this case. A unanimous vote for death on any one of the 17 death penalty counts would constitute a death sentence for Tsarnaev. Jurors deliberated for about 14 hours over the course of three days.

OLE GIVES WAY TO ADIOS

It appears to us that in this day and age, this so-called civilized society, a most vicious and cruel spectacle of blood continues to flourish in several countries.

Bullfighting is barbaric and should have been banned long ago, as bear-baiting was. It is difficult to understand how crowds of people will pay money and take pleasure in watching one lone creature - who has never done them any harm — getting hacked to death.

How can anyone with an ounce of compassion, cheer and chant Olé as a banderilla or lance is thrust into the animal’s pain-racked body?
