The family of James Brown has finally reached a settlement ending a 15-year battle over the late singer’s estate, according to their lawyer, who confirmed to The Associated Press that the agreement was reached July 9. Details of the settlement were not disclosed. Legal wrangling over the Godfather of Soul’s estate has been ongoing since his death at the age of 73 on Christmas Day 2006.

The sixty-something-year-old who lives in my building thinks he is a real drummer because he likes to bang with his drumsticks.

Never mind that he does this at night while most normal folks sleep, but he can't even keep a beat. Therefore he is more like a dumber boy.

What makes a great drummer? There are many metrics to consider, but there are various rankings in no particular order based on technical skill, creativity/innovation, compositional ability, and attitude.

I am saddened to inform you all that my daddy Papa Joe is now in heaven with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and The Lord.

He was such an amazing father, grandfather, husband, and performer. He had a standing command both at home and on stage. He lit up every space he entered and took hold of everyone’s hearts with his voice, and his music.
