Belgium is caught in a standoff without a major party capable of forming a government. Unfortunately, an age-old split between two distinct regions speaking different languages is flaring up once again.

These are two of the most awaited decisions the Court has made this session, whether a Constitutional right can be restricted, and why should some one have to pay a 3rd party to work in a particular job.

The high court decisions involve birth control coverage under Obamacare and fees paid to labor unions representing government employees by workers who object to being affiliated with a union.

The weather appeared as if it was heaven sent for City Island's Blessing of The Fleet. This annual event was successfully organized by members of The Power Squadron.

City Islanders joined members of the American Legion, who saluted for 77 vessels, including, sail boats, yachts and kayaks, while clergy for the local houses of worship offered their blessings. St. Mary's Star of The Sea's Father Agustus blessed the vessel Geometry as it's occupants on board were seen simultaneously making the sign of the cross. Ironically, this could be the last year this Catholic church remains open on the Island.
