Just say no to the fifth digit; the little finger or tiny toe. Our modern world demands digital democracy. The days of intimidation, mob rule and total control must be left behind. Trust me, I have lived under a dictatorship, communism but will always and forever vote for a democratic way of life.

The isms are a distinctive philosophy, typically a political ideology or a movement. "of all the isms, Totalitarianism, Communism and Fascism are the most repressive.

The first ancient Olympic Games were played on 776 BC. dedicated to the Olympian gods and staged on the ancient plains of Olympia. This practice continued for 12 centuries until Emperor Theodosius decreed in 393 A.D. that all such pagan cults be banned. The Games were religious festivals of the cult of Zeus, and had a secular character and aimed to show the physical qualities and evolution of the performances.

The @Olympics were transformed into a time when politics was placed aside, while the world celebrated its finest athletes. One world one dream!

Americans are depressed and frustrated with the state of our current political climate that has reached new lows, with leaders scrambling to persuade their nominees to stick to the issues, to abandon attacks and negative tactics which have caused low morale among the US electorate.

We realize that political campaigns and elections are not supposed to be fun, but they should always reaffirm what’s best about democracy.

US Congress members and state legislators have increasingly grown lazy and voters should exercise their right to vote, to get representatives working again and staying away from special interests and corruption.

Some observers may say it is probably not possible if the past record is any indication, but dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery must stop immediately.

Existing holders of political offices could be replaced during the upcoming elections where priorities are defined, established to improve structural advantages for all Americans.

The UT Tower clock stopped this morning at 11:48A. The same time when the shooting began 50 years ago. Unfortunately, there are still too many mass shootings in America. Some fear we are headed in the wrong direction. Today also marks the day when Texas’ new campus carry law goes into effect.
