New York City Homecoming Week kicked off today and runs all the way until Saturday with the first of five outdoor concerts.

These NYC Homecoming Week concerts are taking place in the outer boroughs before the grand finale concert in Central Park. The goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions.

Americans got a full look at USA racial and ethnic makeup as the U.S. Census Bureau revealed data following its decennial survey.

The U.S. Census Bureau held a news conference to release of the first local-level results from the 2020 Census. States use these data on race, Hispanic origin, and the voting-age population to redraw the boundaries of their congressional and local legislative districts.

Hamden is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. The town's nickname is "The Land of the Sleeping Giant". The population is believed to be at least 60,960

Unfortunately, we all know that people can be cruel to nature, and this one-of-a-kind tree, like many other aspects of nature which mankind has ruined over time, was destroyed. A man cut it down with a chainsaw just to spite his brother, and as the picture shows, its memory was lost with it.

Alaska Quake

A potentially serious and extremely large-scale earthquake has slammed the State of Alaska so large #USA hasn’t seen recently. 

The M8.2 Alaska quake is on the subduction zone interface. What this means is that the seafloor under the Pacific Ocean is being pushed under the Alaskan peninsula. It also means it generated a tsunami and this is a potentially dangerous development. 

M 8.2 - 104 km SE of Perryville, Alaska. A tsunami warning was issued, largest wave height above tide level reported thus far was 0.7 ft. in Old Harbor, Alaska. Other tsunami warnings were canceled.

Barney the Bull has eluded capture after his farm escape. The 680kg lonely bull apparently likes his freedom as he keeps roaming around Long Island, NY. Barney is not thought to be aggressive towards humans until he gets hungry or HORNY!

ELSA Go Away

The first storm of the season to effect the eastern seaboard is something Elsa altogether as it soaked the East Coast with an unrelenting weather system that claimed one life in Florida, injured several in Georgia, and flooded sections of New York City streets and subways.

As Elsa keeps powering over the eastern mid-Atlantic region it is expected to move near or over the northeastern United States. No significant change in strength is expected today, and Elsa is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone.
