Trump Trouble Ahead

Submitted by ub on

The president-elect breaks US precedent. Donald Trump is showing that he may not be strategic and his behavior has indicated to The US and the world that he acts like a bull in a China shop by his conversation with Taiwan. Words become weapons as he continues his constant contradictions that have his supporters as well as the rest of the world in a state of shock.

Furthermore, he has made time for many controversial activities, but not to address the press.

Six decades ago, a young black woman sat down for her rights and won her place in the history books. If she had been a man, she may have gotten into a physical altercation and not accomplish anything.

She says she was tired of giving in, so sixty-one years ago today, Rosa Parks took a stand by keeping her seat and was arrested for not giving up her seat to a white passenger.

However, yesterday, a jury to convicted a Trump supporter on 10 counts of election law fraud, following a trial in Michigan Supreme Court.

Welcome December and Christmas, but Turtle Doves and US wages now hike The 12 Days of Christmas to an all-time price tag of $34K. The US slow recovery of the economy continues to keep the cost of Christmas or at least the gifts listed in "The Twelve Days of Christmas" from spiraling out of control. Blame wages and turtle doves: '12 Days' now costs $34,363 https://apnews.com/519e3626e6464f5689980fa8ba3ec7a5

Willie Colón returns to his roots in The Bronx on Dec.10th @ 8 p.m. for a Navidad/Christmas Concert at Lehman Center in The Bronx.

The Christmas songs will include "Asalto Navideño," "Canto a Borinquen" and "Arbolito," as well as classic salsa hits like "Oh Que Sera," "Sin Poderte Hablar" and "Idilio," according to Lehman Center.

Willie's salsero side is delighted to come back where it all started, he comes back to The Bronx where he's from and doesn't get to play Christmas songs all the time, so it's a welcome change.

Longtime City Island resident and a member of the Greatest Generation passed away. Russell F.
Schaller was 93 years young and enjoyed a wonderful sense of humor 1923 - 2016.

Russ was a very talented man and was extremely supportive when I was considering launching CITY IMAGES several years ago. Over time, I had the opportunity of writing several stories about him and his friends and neighbors. http://cimages.me/search/node/russel%20schaller
