WE NEED A PRESIDENT WHO'S A BRIGHT STAR

Submitted by ub on

What this country needs now is a smart and experienced legislator, like President James Garfield. Unfortunately, he was one of four U.S. presidents felled by an assassin's bullet and as history will show, three were members of the Republican party.

The story of Garfield's brief presidency certainly is one for the history books. This man had the potential to be one of our greatest presidents and the many lessons learned from his tragic death.

CONDO vs CO-OP

Condominium apartments have sevaral advantages over Cooperatives, whether you live on the east coast, or the west coast of this wonderful and diverse nation.

If you are like me, live and own a New York City condo, you had three choices when you were ready to buy a home.

First, you could spend double, triple-digits, and sometimes even more on a townhouse. These costs are prohibitive for many, not to mention that you may wind up being the superintendent of your own home.

Summertime is the warmest season of the year. For most, summertime is the slang version of the word summer, and represents the activities and the feel of one’s spectacular life in the summer.

Some say it is summertime in conjunction with a sentence that describes or indicates that someone wants to participate in activities that are usually only done in the few months of the summer.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

ConEd's union decides to strike during historic heatwave... This timing is worth noting.

Negotiations were underway as New Yorkers weathered a heat wave, stressing out people who worry about power availability, but ConEd says these fears are unfounded.

Negotiations between the Con Ed and Local 1-2 of the Utility Workers of America lasted just over 10 days. The contract expired at midnight Saturday and negotiations broke down just before 2 a.m.
