Sonny Santos, Veteran Housing Corp CEO, says the United States of America is not doing affordable housing well. 

"The affordable housing industry is broken, conflicted, and special interest pressures are keeping America in an affordable housing crisis mode."

Sonny says it’s time US taxpayers demand that their tax dollars be spent only on permanent affordable housing with affordability periods in perpetuity.

From 2021 to 2022, the U.S. housing shortage grew to 4.5 million homes, up from 4.3 million. In 2022, the number of U.S. families increased by 1.8 million, while only 1.4 million housing units were built.
