GUATEMALA RATIFIES UN-BACKED TREATY BANNING NUCLEAR TESTS
Guatemala has ratified the United Nations-backed international treaty banning nuclear tests, bringing the number of State parties to 156.
Out of a total listed number of 195 States, 182 have so far signed the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).

Visitors to The New York Botanical Garden this winter can escape to Caribbean Garden, a look at the tropical trees, flowers, and foliage, including orange-yellow crotons, fuschia bromeliads, and rosy red hibiscus, in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory’s permanent collection. Through self-guided strolls, use of free audio tours (including a new virtual tour, “The Beauty of the Caribbean”), or participation in docent-led tours of the Conservatory, visitors can encounter many surprises in the largest Victorian-style glasshouse in the country. Visitors can also enjoy a display of photos from the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition and partake in salsa and photography lessons on weekends. Children can participate in a scavenger hunt that begins in the Conservatory.

Although she enjoys spectacular TV ratings, not everyone likes Judge Judy-Janet Ann Knowles doesn't care too much for her.
The 62-year-old Jupiter, Florida resident was arrested Sunday on aggravated battery charges after she hit a 65-year-old man on the head with a hammer after she got "upset with Judge Judy," according to a police report obtained by the Palm Beach Post.
According to the report, the man was sitting on his recliner watching the judge's show when she lost it and attacked him with that hammer.
