Election Day History

Voters across the nation braved the unusually long lines during a midterm election that determined the balance of power in Congress.

The Republicans boasting of a strong majorities in the US House of Representatives as well as The Senate were significantly diminished by weak candidates who shared the GOP crazy uncle’s aversion to reality and real facts.

Four Letter Words

Four letter words have something of a negative reputation about them. Unfortunately most folks already know that all too well.

It’s also true that they can be some of the best words to play with. When you play words with 4 letters, you have enough of a chance to capitalize on bonus squares. Include a J or Z, and you'll really be good.

BEST

HATE … However, is a wasted emotion and terrible sounding four letters.

The Weak Ahead

First we set the clocks back one hour perhaps for good and then voters decide wether to set them back 50 years backwards in time.

Most folks believe in The Big Bang theory when it comes to the origins of the cosmos. How can We The People be certain that the universe had a beginning, or when it will end and what about the future of American Democracy? Will registered voters cast their ballots and end this democratic experiment as we have grown to love and know it?

Big Tech Implosion?

What's going down with the one time rapid rise of Big Tech? I have given up on FaceBook, Instagram and soon to drop Twitter.

While some are bailing out, others across the digital divide are reporting shrinking follower counts - marketing groups that don't listen to anything but value are rushing to the exits.

Most of America’s biggest technology firms are having a tough time and not just the small one recently acquired by a mercurial billionaire.

TOXIC TRUMP

Consider the guy who got hired by cheating, then fired for not doing the job and insisting he did great but was unfortunately framed.

This is his big lie that should be served and eaten as a humble pie. The one bad apple 🍎 idiom goes back to at least 1340 in English. The original phrase was, “A rotten apple quickly infects its neighbor.” It meant that a rotten apple, or a rotten person, corrupts others. By the 18th century, we start to see phrases like “one bad apple spoils the barrel.”
The so-called "Big Lie” in the U.S., promoted by former President Donald Trump, is similar. This disinformation alleges that the 2020 U.S. election was “stolen,” leading to a fraudulent victory by current President Joe Biden. This has been widely debunked. No court has determined that there was widespread electoral fraud. In fact, Trump lost 63 of the 64 lawsuits he filed on the matter. The only case he won did not prove any fraud.

Metro-North rail for the East Bronx with four new stations at: Hunts Point, Parkchester, Van Nest, Morris Park, and Co-Op City.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will dramatically increase access to the Bronx, New York City, and the region and will support the city as it rebounds from the effects of COVID-19.
