Today is the 20th anniversary of National Public Health Week. Obesity, the second leading cause of preventable death in the nation. To prevent childhood obesity families need convenient access to healthy, affordable food. Far too many families are food insecure, meaning parents and children do not always have enough nutritious food to eat each day. In addition, childhood obesity is an epidemic, causing life-threatening health problems such as diabetes and heart conditions.

CITY ISLAND EASTER SUNDAY

Members from the Christian congregation of Trinity Methodist Church of City Island held the annual Easter celebration at sunrise this morning. The waterside services were followed by nearly a full house of children and adult worshipers.

Pastor Ezra Hongchang Yew led the services at the 165 year old church, which is a City Island favorite locations. This special congregation invites people of all races and cultures to participate in devotionals during every and all seasons and also asks the faithful to take their prayers to the public at large.

America has long had a love affair with baseball and a Facebook graph now reveals the favorite baseball teams in the country by sorting through people's likes and breaking down winners by individual counties.

Boston vs. New York Battle Will Never End, so it is no surprise The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox came in first and second respectively in terms of the number of fans. Also making an impressive showing are the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves, who have fans spread out all over the South.
