Erika Roman Foundation Hosts 3rd Annual CELEBRITY Softball Game 8/9/11

The Erika Roman Memorial Foundation, a charitable organization, will host its 3rd Annual Celebrity Softball Game to benefit children of the New York City Foster Care System. The Celebrity Softball Game promises to once again bring out the city’s top names in music, entertainment, and public office. The proceeds raised at the event will help complete the second phase of an Internet radio station within the Children’s Aid Society in the Bronx.

AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS FOR RENT IN THE MOTT HAVEN AND MORRISANIA SECTION OF THE BRONX

JEMP Owners LLC is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for 36 affordable housing rental apartments under construction at 1434-1438 Morris Avenue, 720-722 East 161st Street and 748 Jackson Avenue in the Mott Haven and Morrisania section of the Bronx. Due to a derailment near the East 116th Station in Manhattan the following disruptions are in effect: northbound 4 and 6 trains are running express from East 42nd St. to East 125th St., the 5 train is running on the 2 track from Nevins St. in Brooklyn to 149th St. and Grand Concourse in the Bronx. DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST, TOMORROW'S THREE ACT OPERA HAS BEEN CANCELED.

It is with great regret, that there will NOT be a gathering for Madam Butterfly tomorrow night.

However, as the opera company is likely to reschedule their performance for a later date this summer, we'll keep you informed.
