Submitted by ub on

NYC officials have just announced that a lone wolf al-Qaida sympathizer, who allegedly plotted to bomb police and post offices in New York City was arrested yesterday.

Law enforcement officials say Jose Pimentel wanted to change his name to "Osama Hussein" after Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Officials are making this announcement to apparently justify the spying on private citizens. FBI was not at this news conference.

Officials say they have been monitoring this guy for at least a couple of years.

Over the past three years alone, the number of US workers over 65 years old has jumped by 16%, while the total number of under 65 year old workers in the national labor force decreased.

Today is the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. This is a brilliant speech delivered by President Abraham Lincoln, one of our finest Republican national leaders.
It may also be one of the best speeches in US history. It was delivered by Mr. Lincoln during the American Civil War on the afternoon of November 19, 1863, at the dedication of a National Military Cemetery in Gettysburg, PA, just over four months after the Union army defeated the Confederacy at the Battle of Gettysburg.
