Puerto Rico Quake

The island of Puerto Rico was hit by a series of strong earthquakes and subsequent aftershocks damaging buildings, cracking roads and leaving much of the island in the dark.

Local media reported that at least one person died and others injured during home collapses on the island’s southern coast.

As I woke up in NYC Today, I looked out the window and could taste the petrichor in the air as the rain blessed the cracked lips of the earth. The morning air hit me, brumous and chilly, as I opened the building's front door and waved down the mist.

If you also see grey skies, It means Winter is upon us and for many, it is cold, and there’s nothing to beware, we've had lots of precipitation in the air..

Why have there been no explanations from POTUS for escalating tensions for apparently vague reasons? Has America had enough? The assassination of global spymaster Soleimani, the second in command Iranian official.

The promise of living a long wealthy life has been around forever. However, wealth and old age is not a blessing unless it is adorned with grace and generosity.

There are certain foods that are considered a must on the menu for New Year’s Eve, according to cultures in different Continents.

Some signify good fortune and are lucky to eat on New Year’s Eve, full of symbolism and perhaps superstition.

For example, as I was growing up, my parents practiced a ritual of eating grapes 🍇 which I understand is a European cultural tradition.

Another major storm system is moving across the country carrying treacherous weather conditions and heavy precipitation to the Midwest and Northeast.

The storm system will continue to bring snow, wind, and hazardous travel conditions early this week over the upper Midwest and Great Lakes regions. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain will also impact much of New England into Tuesday. Some icing may be locally significant and lead to power outages and dangerous travel conditions.

The weather pattern stretches from the Great Lakes all the way into the Northeast and the Gulf Coast.
