This is The Big Apple's most romantic place. I fell and got married here. Away from the urban grid of concrete numbered avenues and streets slowly dissipates into a tiny island off Manhattan Island.
Skyscrapers give way to bungalows and beach houses with gardens which, in the springtime, have blooms bursting. Independent shops are common and nearly every restaurant feels like one you wish to find out if it has a Michelin Star and a Resy waitlist in the thousands.
