America’s most recent deadly mass shooting happened inside a municipal center in Virginia Beach this time, and various vigils and mass memorials are being held this weekend.
After a longtime public utility employee shot his co-workers Friday, killing 12 people and wounding a few others. The heavily armed shooter died in an exchange of gunfire with four officers who rushed into the building.
His name has not yet been released because officials do not want to give publicity to the shooter person's name, so he will be referred to as the suspect because our focus now is the dignity and respect to the victims and to their families.
