Corporation for Public Broadcasting‘s Patricia de Stacy Harrison to Be Honored at 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
She is the longest-serving president and CEO of CPB, and will be honored at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 7, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The recognition celebrates her extraordinary leadership and enduring contributions to public media.
Since taking the helm of CPB in 2005, Harrison has championed the power of public media to educate, inform, and connect communities across the United States. Under her leadership, CPB has expanded local journalism, increased educational programming, and supported innovation across television and radio—while ensuring that diverse voices and underserved communities remain central to the mission.
“Patricia Harrison’s leadership has been instrumental in sustaining and growing this vision,” said Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego, underscoring the vital role CPB plays in preserving trusted, fact-based storytelling in a divided era.
The CPB, created by Congress in 1967, is a private, nonprofit corporation responsible for stewarding federal funding to over 1,500 local public TV and radio stations nationwide.
