Believe in Yourself

I tell everyone as well as anyone who will listen that If you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect others to believe in you?

It starts with ourselves by gaining clarity about who we want to be in the world. Confidence is like a muscle, the more you use it, the more it grows. And magic happens 😊

Age usually brings with it knowledge, wisdom and expertise so rely on others who will share it, or use it once you get it.

  • As a folks age, it is often important for them to develop a stronger relationship with the internal world.
  • It can be difficult to turn away from concrete external metrics and value the internal and less tangible.
  • Ultimately, the inner world is potentially a richer and more rewarding area for exploration than the external—it is the “final frontier.

Our world needs this kind of ambition, that it fuels a forward motion for our species, even though it comes with all kinds of problems. And the problems this often unconscious ambition creates are very similar to the problems most are struggling with: an emphasis on external achievement without being balanced by internal development.

A wise woman used to say that when we are young, we have the face we are born with. By the time we are a grownup, we have the face we deserve. That sounded harsh to me as a child, but now that I’m older, I understand her comment a little better.
