CALIFORNIA IN MIND

Many years ago I visited the US West Coast and it left an awesome impression in my mind. Years later I moved my kids there.

My job has taken me to many places worldwide but most of my children and grandkids still live there. California offers vibrancy with some of the finest sand stretches, less crowded than others, and with spectacular vistas over the Pacific Ocean. I found out there's an adventure for everyone.

For example, despasito y suavecito Sausalito’s bohemian vibes scenic houseboats, and hundreds of houses on stilts, offer a unique experience just across the bridge from San Francisco. After soaking in the geothermal waters of Calistoga, a wine-drenched spa town, even crowds won’t bother you.

Sausalito developed rapidly during the Second World War and was once a fishing hamlet. Now, it is characterized by beautiful homes nestled in the hills along the bay. Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, Sausalito provides a peaceful retreat for tourists seeking vibrant experiences. Its two most distinct features, the Bridgeway and the unbeatable city skyline views, combine to create a lively atmosphere. Visitors can stroll along the shoreline for the best photo opportunities of the bridge and city skyline, passing unique houseboats, luxury yachts, and 500 houses on stilts, complemented by casual eateries. This affluent waterfront community, blessed with incredible scenery, has a deep passion for boating.

Visitors can explore a line of shops and fine dining establishments or enjoy window shopping with a snack from a terraced cafe. Attracting artists, Silicon Valley engineers, and affluent vacationers, Sausalito, once a hippie village, now offers a sophisticated yet laidback atmosphere with a nautical vibe. Home to floating houses and friendly locals with bohemian quirks, its “flower power” charm enhances the panoramic strolls against the stunning bay backdrop, leading to alfresco dining. Key locations like Gate 5 Road, Liberty Dock, and Waldo Point Harbor offer free dock access to pontoons for superb views of San Francisco Bay.
