My friend and family physician, Dr. B, is also an underwater enthusiast. I explained that the Pearl of the Antilles was a perfect place.

Dr. B went diving off the Cuban coast and took great shots and better images, which were as impressive when compared to those of other people visiting the same place.

Among the pantheon of scores John Scott wrote for famed documentarian Jacques Cousteau, 1986's "Cuba: Waters of Freedom" stands out as an especially flavorful and intricate work. Anchored by an exciting main idea whose bustling opening iteration sounds like a Latin-flavored variation on Scott's famed "Final Countdown" theme and is bespoke of the Cuban people and their culture, the composer deftly balances local color via folk-percussion (maracas, hand drums and so forth), Latin dance-like rhythms and tastefully-applied saxophone writing with the composer's typically ingenious penchant for impressionistic harmony and sumptuous orchestration.
