Officials who either think they are above the law wear high heels or are too cowardly and fear books, not magazines or assault rifles.

I have at least one gay member in my immediate family that I know of, but that does not mean I do not love them nevertheless. An intelligent voter asked what if Ron DeSantis's kids turn out to be gay? What would he do then?

in fact, there are some weird things happening in the Sunshine State. Some might think of Florida as a tourist paradise, but for other Americans, it’s the worst state due to its #MAGA fever and for even stranger happenings. From alligator attacks to bizarre news stories, Florida has become the butt of jokes and the epitome of weirdness.

The fight over banning books - Between 2020 and 2022, the number of book titles that have been banned in U.S. libraries and schools spiked more than 1,100 percent, to more than 2,500, while activists in 37 states have challenged school districts for offering non-fiction and fiction books that discuss race and racism, slavery, sex, and gender identity.

There are opposing forces on the reading battlefield today, from the founders of the activist group "Moms for Liberty" to library officials, a teacher removed from her classroom for giving her students access to banned books, and cartoonist Art Spiegelman, whose Holocaust-themed graphic novel "Maus" has been targeted by book banners.
