Gloria Estefan is a Cuban American singer, songwriter, and the first Latina to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Miami Superstar and fellow student of our alma mater, aka #SuntanU - University alumna, who will be inducted into the organization and other artists at its annual ceremony in June in New York City.

Gloria Estefan is also a humanitarian. As Director of TV Marti, we produced a special program broadcast to Cuba, where Glorida and Andy Garcia delivered supplies to South Florida residents following Hurricane Andrew.

Estefan joins inductees Sade, Snoop Dogg, Jeff Lynne, Glen Ballard, Teddy Riley, and Liz Rose on Jun. 15 in New York City for the official ceremony. 

She's the "Queen of Latin Pop." she has written hits songs like "Conga," "Get on Your Feet," "Let's Get Loud," "Words Get in the Way," "Anything for You," and "Don't Wanna Lose You" marks an impressive next chapter in the artist's life.

KUDOS to all inductees on this year's list. Musical icons Sade Adu p/k/a SadeGlen BallardCalvin Broadus Jr. Snoop DoggGloria EstefanJeff LynneTeddy Riley, and Liz Rose will become the latest inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the organization's 52nd Annual Induction and Awards Gala. These legendary songwriters are credited with mega-hits such as "Smooth Operator," "Man In the Mirror," "Drop It Like It's Hot," "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," "Mr. Blue Sky," "My Prerogative," and "You Belong With Me." The star-studded event is slated for Thursday, Jun. 15, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Additional special award honorees will be announced soon.
