POTUS approval rating hit new lows in a pair of polls released on Wednesday, as his handling of the cost of living and the war in Iran remain broadly unpopular in the weeks before the midterms.
Democrats have a 52% to 41% advantage over Republican candidates in the Times poll of likely voters nationwide. They similarly hold a 10-point lead over the GOP among registered voters, 49% to 39%, in CNN’s polling, the party’s largest advantage in that poll since right before the 2020 election.
The surveys, released by The New York Times and #CNN, offer some of the last snapshots of voter sentiment less than two weeks before Election Day. And they suggest Republicans have little time left to turn the tide ahead of November.
