Happy Birthday to the Pontiff, who is reportedly a White Sox fan. I hope he's praying for the Chicago Cubs, who need it more than they do.

The Cubs, an American professional baseball team based in Chicago, compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the National League Central Division. 

The club plays its home games at Wrigley Field, on Chicago's North Side. They are one of two major league teams based in Chicago, alongside the American League's Chicago White Sox. 

The Cubs, first known as the White Stockings, were founded in 1870 and are one of two remaining NL charter franchises that debuted in 1876.

The Chicago White Sox, on the other hand, are also based in Chicago. The White Sox compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League Central Division. The club plays its home games at Rate Field, which is located on Chicago's South Side. They are one of two MLB teams based in Chicago, alongside the National League's Chicago Cubs. The White Sox are known as the "South Siders", a reference to the location of their home park.
