If you think the ongoing Snow Wall https://cimages.me/content/snow-wall is a unique weather phenomenon, look at the record book.

Three amigos, friends, shinyuu. 親友 / しんゆう- Momoe Ban, Senior Correspondent Nikkei, one of the most dedicated journalists I have met in NYC, with her trainee Yashua Minami, Staff Writer who will be a fantastic correspondent,, and Roberto Soto Former AP Television NY Bureau Chief on City Island - A Slice of NYC Paradise.

According to snow research inspired by my fellow journalists from Nikkei, another winter storm will bring heavy snow and ice to the Ohio Valley and into the Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday and Wednesday. Significant ice is forecasted for the Central Appalachians, while heavy snow is likely through the I-95 corridor from Virginia to Pennsylvania.

Another winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow and ice to the Central Plains on Tuesday, spreading into the Midwest and Great Lakes on Wednesday. Looking back a few more years at official records, we find the largest snowstorm in New York City history. The all-time snowfall record was set on Jan. 22-23, 2016, when Central Park received 27.5 inches of snow—more than 2 feet.  https://pix11.com/weather/snow-showers-to-return-to-ny-nj/

Although the winter of 2015-16 set an all-time snowfall record, it is not as significant as the winter with the highest snowfall on record, where up to 5 inches of snow is possible in NYC this weekend. That record-breaking winter, 1995-96, concluded with a total of 75.6 inches of snow—over 6 feet—according to the National Weather Service (NWS). From January to March 1996, New York City recorded an average snowfall of 20.17 inches.
