NO KINGS 2.0

Another nationwide demonstration is programmed during our Independence Day celebration and is now scheduled for July Fourth.

I’m not a Republican. I’m not a Democrat. I’m not here to push an agenda—I’m here to sound the alarm. The United States is on the verge of a foreign policy disaster, and the silence from our elected leaders is deafening.

With tensions escalating between Israel and Iran, the U.S. is being pulled toward conflict, not through diplomacy, not through strategy, but through a toxic mix of religious extremism, ideological pressure, and political survival games. We are not walking a path of national interest. We are sleepwalking into a holy war.

This moment demands clear thinking, calm leadership, and above all, debate. Our system was built for this—for checks, balances, and reasoned deliberation. No single individual should have the power to drag 330 million Americans into a war that could reshape the world. And yet, that's exactly what's happening.

On one side, Donald Trump is surrounded by evangelical voices who see rising conflict in the Middle East not as a crisis, but as prophecy. They talk not about de-escalation, but about divine fulfillment. Foreign policy has become a pulpit.

On the other side, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—clinging to power in the face of corruption charges and domestic unrest—is backed by ultra-Zionist allies who believe endless war is their divine right and political strategy rolled into one.

And both men are being cheered on by people who will never face the consequences of the wars they ignite. Their children will not fight. Their homes will not be targeted. They will not pay the price.

Meanwhile, Congress sits paralyzed. Frozen by fear. Incapable of asserting its constitutional duty to authorize war or demand a real debate. As Reason.com and Time.com have both warned in recent weeks, we are watching a system in breakdown:

  • A president acting without debate

  • A legislature too afraid to speak

  • And a path to war shaped by apocalyptic narratives, not national security

This is not a normal geopolitical standoff. This is becoming a holy war—a collision of messianic visions from the three sons of Abraham: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. When leaders act on divine mission instead of human reason, there is no room for diplomacy—only fire.

Let me be clear: opposing this path is not anti-Israel, anti-American, or anti-religion. It’s pro-democracy. It’s pro-peace. It’s pro-accountability.

War must never be waged by prophecy.

Congress must speak now—before it’s too late.

The previous "No Kings" demonstration drew nearly five million protesters, which is a significantly smaller sample than the percentage of Trump voters. How much larger will the numbers be this next time?

A protest song is associated with a movement for social change and hence part of the broader category of topical songs, or songs connected to current events. It may be folk, classical, or commercial in genre.
