Taken to the highest level of urbanism, the finest places in the world are cities with entire networks of car-free streets, known as pedestrian cities.
From Tokyo to Seoul and Zagreb to Zurich, these destinations were found to be the safest places around the world for exploring as a pedestrian.
New research from Compare the Market analyzed a total of 90 cities worldwide on their safety score and found the following destinations ranked the highest in terms of things like car free places, the percentage of residents who commute on foot, and overall safety.
