While talking with a troubled individual in Mariposas, California, they underlined the dangers of Climate Change despite Trump's lies.

Periods of heavy rainfall caused by multiple atmospheric rivers in California between December 2022 and the present have resulted in floods that affected parts of Southern California, the California Central Coast, Northern California, and Nevada. Well over 135K California homes and businesses were without power this morning after another atmospheric river walloped the storm-fatigued state with heavy rain and hurricane-force winds.

Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish. This small town is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in the county seat of Mariposa County, California, United States. The population was 1,526 at the 2020 census. The community is named after the flocks of monarch butterflies seen overwintering there by early explorers. Mariposa is known for friendly citizens who greet or play host to the many visitors worldwide. It is also known for festivals and fun spirit, which all enjoy.

Climate change describes global warming—the ongoing increase in global average temperature—and its effects on Earth's climate system. In a broader sense, climate change also includes previous long-term changes to Earth's climate. The current rise in global average temperature is more rapid than the last changes and is primarily caused by humans burning fossil fuels. Fossil fuel use, deforestation, and agricultural and industrial practices increase greenhouse gases, notably carbon dioxide and methane. Greenhouse gases absorb some of the Earth's heat after it warms from sunlight. More significant amounts of these gases trap heat in Earth's lower atmosphere, causing global warming.
