RIP Sidney Poitier

Sir Sidney L. Poitier KBE was a Bahamian-American actor, film director, activist, and the first black actor to win an Oscar.

Of all the great scenes in all the great films he starred in, this scene from the 1967 classic, “In The Heat of the Night,” is the greatest- and the BLACKEST- in Hollywood history. https://twitter.com/MichaelCoard/status/1479491337166667788?s=20

Way back in 1964, Poitier won the Academy Award for Best Actor, becoming the first Black male and Bahamian actor to win the award. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001627/
