Why are some Americans dreaming about moving abroad and leaving their homeland? What’s going on here 22 years after 9/11?
Is it that the Summer holidays are now behind us and with them is the delusion that they are a step away from picking up and moving away to their most recent vacation?
Or maybe their social media feeds are full of “how I moved abroad and as “Mamma Mia” season nears its end, a relocation to Greece, Spain, or Portugal is looking better each day.
There was a time when everyone was welcome in the USA. What happened to the American dream? I do not claim to have the answers, but I fear what’s going on here is that our citizens are not exercising their rights and using the powers of the US Constitution
Before throwing in the towel and walking away it has never been more important to stay and vote for liberty, Justice, and the American way. In my opinion, the very best method is to register and vote.
As a Citizen of the USA and of the world who has had the honor of being recruited by an American POTUS, being thoroughly vetted, and working for the VOA, I can honestly say that it does not matter which political party we choose to belong to, or in my case, no political affiliation. However, it is crucial to take the responsibility seriously by registering to vote and casting a ballot.
I have plenty of experience with setting a bold editorial strategy and know how to lead and inspire a team. My management experience and a knack for inspiring and nurturing teams simply means collaborating is a love language, but I am also assertive in setting the tone and tenor as a confident, strong leader. I also know how to manage and have the ability to think creatively when it comes to making strategic decisions.
Being skilled at working with scholars to adopt research findings, complex data, and jargon into compelling, accessible prose. Whenever I pitch an idea, my brain scans it and I seek the best format for the topic, be it commentary, analysis, solutions story, comedy, images, or just about anything else.
As a media veteran, I'm taking my multilingual and multicultural skills to the next level. I have ideas that have been developing for years, and waiting for the freedom and license to build an editorial platform like #CityImages to offer context and solutions on how to enhance our global reach and impact towards making this a better nation and to save the planet we must all equally share for future generations to survive.
