Adios JJ

During my Spanish-language media career I have worked with two broadcasters I’ve known as JJ - Jesus Javier and Jaime Jarrin.

First was the late and great Jesus Javier who anchored the KVEA-TV Los Angeles Noticiero Telenudo 52 during my tenure there as News Director. Jesus began his professional career at SIN San Antonio and then I hired him in LA. https://cimages.me/content/jesus-javier-rip https://latinocalifornia.com/2012/04/dan-el-ultimo-adios-al-periodista-…

Now we learn that JJ will be retiring as a sports broadcaster and commentator. Jaime Jarrín is an Ecuadorian-born American sportscaster known as the Spanish-language voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He began broadcasting for the Dodgers in 1959 and was the 1998 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame. Adios, #JJ - Veteran baseball broadcaster, @JaimeJarrin says goodbye to LA baseball fans after all these years. https://www.npr.org/2022/10/14/1129001701/veteran-baseball-broadcaster-…
