AMERICAN SUPERHEROES

What does a college town hall forum, a live concert of the United States Marine Band and a weekend award dinner have in common?

These are all part of an annual event of American heroes. They are recipients of the Medal of Honor and belong to a an exclusive society of brave individuals who have risked their lives in service to this country.

Their annual convention gives the public an opportunity to collect the signatures of those who have been honored by Congress for risking their lives beyond the call of duty in combat.

An excited group of people wait for them at assorted venues to meet them, shake their hands and ask for their autograph whenever they have an opportunity to do so.

This year, the extremely exclusive group of 79 living recipients of Medal of Honor are attending their annual gathering in Gettysburg PA, where some of its first recipients fought 150 years ago.

May God bless all of these American heroes, whose rare and distinguished achievements have earned them the nation's highest military honor, The United State of America distinguished Medal of Honor.
