Being an old soul is not bad, but rather a clear understanding of ourselves and all inner and outer feelings and concepts.
It’s a gentle reminder to honor our depth, wisdom, and empathy. It’s about acknowledging our unique perspective and using it to navigate through life’s ups, downs, and sideways.
It begins by embracing our uniqueness and that being an old soul is not a burden, but a gift. It’s a different lens through which we view the world, a lens that brings with it a richness of experience and understanding that most people may not make a special effort to see and feel.
We make time for solitude by using it for self-reflection and growth. We must embrace the deeper connections we form with others and balance helping others and caring for ourselves.
Some say we know the appearance of an old soul who will cross our paths because It is a sacred and energetic connection. We will be brought together by the Universe if we are meant to in this lifetime. Yes, old souls do recognize each other and our soul recognizes its counterpart. This is the essence of our soul. It is will be brought together in the most amazing ways.
We may be of different ages, ethnicities, genders, backgrounds and have signs from the Divine, and have synchronicities like seeing the same number over and over. When eventually you meet later in life, usually, it will knock you sideways, and you will feel the most huge magnetic pull towards them. Unconditional love. You will feel like you never have before. You will know all about them without knowing how you do. You may have had dreams long ago which meant nothing then, but they do now. It is a journey of the soul to bring us closer.
The hallmark of an old soul is feeling deeply aligned with the world around us. We can sense the patterns and flow of life in a way others might not focus on.
It’s not that we have all the answers, but our insights often feel grounded, as though we see things that others are not looking at.
We understand this important truth: Life is a beautiful gift, fleeting journey from experiences to relationships has its time and place, and this brings a sense of calm to the present.
There’s a particular sense of freedom that comes with detachment from material possessions. For me, it’s not about having the latest gadgets the newest car, or the most fashionable or expensive clothes.
We find craving time alone, not out of loneliness but out of a genuine need to recharge, or write and reflect.
We understand the feelings of another, and try to step into their shoes to see the world as they see.
Casual chats and shallow conversations are not our cup of tea. It’s about depth and substance.
Last but not least, It’s like being a fish out of water. And gravitating more towards the older generation, preferring their company to those our age. This isn’t only about being a little more mature or preferring old music and vintage clothing.
