You originally learned from City Island Images, which broke the story about a City Islander running for NYC Mayor.
City Islander Adolfo Carrion says that after working for three years with President Obama at the White House and then at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, he decided to come home to The Bronx, start a new business, and has now thrown his hat in the political ring to run for Mayor of our beloved New York City.
"I am fully committed to ensuring that the debate about the future of our city remains centered on the issues that matter most to New York families - education, housing, strengthening our economy, building and protecting quality neighborhoods, and keeping our city safe.
Your friendship and support over the years have made it possible for me to serve New York City and our country. And now, with your continued support, I am ready to lead our great city."
He is kicking off his campaign in his home borough of The Bronx, at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. This location has great meaning because The Bronx is where his journey of public service began.
Please feel free to join Adolfo Carrion and family for this special moment. He looks forward to seeing all of you on February 26th at 5:30pm on the Grand Concourse Boulevard.
