The City Island Civic Association’s June meeting will be held on June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center at 190 Fordham Street.
There are several items that we will be discussing this month in addition to our usual committee reports from our development, crime, traffic, and quality-of-life committees.
Updates will be given on the City Island camera project and the Belden Point reconstruction plans.
An update will be given regarding our efforts to oppose the design of the new City Island bridge.
A select group of our officers is meeting with the owners of Seafood City along with the 45th Precinct’s Commanding Officer and Senator Klein’s office. If anyone has a noise complaint, it should be called into 311 immediately; then please send your reference number to city.island.civic@mac.com and cao45pct@aol.com. We can and will follow up on your behalf. If you witness a crime-in-progress, that is a 911 call; do not call 311!
Many City Islanders attended the Town Meeting, hosted by Councilman Jimmy Vacca. With a crowd of over 300 people, those who attended showed their support.
