The Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13-day confrontation between the United States and the then Soviet Union initiated by American ballistic missile deployment in Italy and Turkey with consequent Russian ballistic missile deployment in Cuba.
It has been said that history tends to repeats itself, especially when individuals fail to learn the first time around.
