Cyber Monday Blues

Submitted by ub on

This is what I had to deal with on Cyber Monday. I sang the blues for a while in the morning.

Early today on Cyber Monday I watched my Web site go gone down once again for a second time is as many weeks for a short bit of time.

I contacted my host, Amazon and they spent 20 minutes apologizing...

"I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your webpage. That's definitely not what we want our customers to experience.

Situation such as this is rare so we need to talk to you Via Chat so our technical support can carefully check possible causes of this error as troubleshooting via e-mail can be very limited and may not resolve the problem right away. I hope you understand our limitations.

This way, we can ensure that you are given real-time assistance and the best solution.

I realize that at this point of time asking you to contact us again might be inconvenient, however, we would really like to assist you better.

You can click the "Contact Us" button on any Help page (www.amazon.com/help) and click the Chat option.

If you can't access this feature, here are our customer service phone numbers:

- U.S. and Canada: 1-866-216-1072
- International: 1-206-266-2992

We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I hope to hear from you soon so that we can help you resolve the problem."

All of this on CYBER MONDAY the day after BEZOS appears on 60 Minutes to dazzle Amazon customers and the TV viewing audience:

As you can now see, this web page is working once again. The problem is solved for now!
