Diplomacy and Democracy

POTUS wraps up his first trip abroad since taking office, an eight-day mission to rebuild trans-Atlantic ties with NATO after they were strained during the past years and to reframe relations with WAPS Warsaw Pact nations. Experience and intelligence matter more than buffoonery.

Following the last meeting, Russia’s dictator emerged from the Helsinki summit smirking like the cat that swallowed the canary. There was no such grin this time. Vlad was subdued and far from triumphant. He tried attacking the USA but not Biden.

Take a close look at their body language and you will see the little man looks nervous and uptight, while the big guy and older statesman appears calm and confident.

Ransomware attacks on  Pipeline and Factories were believed to have been carried out by Russian-based criminal groups, moving cyber warfare to the top of The agenda at the summit. These attacks prompted POTUS to ask Putin how he would react if USA based hackers retaliated?

One American Broadcasting Company reporter Rachel Scott asked the Russian dictator “What Are You So Afraid Of?” Your  opponents end up dead or in jail. Putin had no credible answer for the free press.

Meanwhile, as the Republican Party continues to be more friendly to Russia and Putin than ever before in American history, it is sabotaging Democracy.
