Earth 🌏 Burning?

As temperatures kept climbing around the globe, a Record heat wave continued slowly and surely cooking America, Europe, and Asia.

The trouble is, the hottest part of summer is still ahead. For most of humanity, that means there will be too much time spent as a sweaty, sticky mess.

These are the hottest summers in recorded history, and for multiple years to come. This is an issue for all continents, demographics, and people from different walks of life.

What to do, which way to go? The truth is that unless the world comes together to reverse this dangerous course, we will all cook ourselves to become crispy creatures.

Besides the former guy who wasted four years denying climate change, who else will become a member of The Liars Club?

The hot temperatures have gripped much of the globe, triggering wildfires, and hundreds of heat-related deaths and weather emergencies are being reported.

The United Nations says to limit global temperature increases to 1.5C higher than pre-industrial levels should avoid the most dangerous impacts of climate change.

To do that, emissions need to have peaked by 2025 - CO2 emissions from energy increased by 6 percent in 2021 to 36.3 billion tons, the highest ever level, the International Energy Agency estimates.

They need to virtually halve by 2030, so we need a minimum 43 percent reduction by the end of this decade, according to the IPCC. https://www.ipcc.ch/  Then the world needs to scale back emissions to net zero by 2050.

Meanwhile, Europe braces for what could become its hottest week on record, as authorities warned of a “heat apocalypse” and emergency services confronted spreading wildfires and rising death tolls.
