EGG CITING

Would you like to know where to buy eggs now that the administration promised to lower the prices on day one, a weak or two later?

Prices are high, by a bird flu outbreak in the US. The Trump administration recently fired a number of USDA officials who worked on the government's response to bird flu as part of cost-cutting measures by Doge. Oops… They are now reportedly attempting to rehire some of them.

Egg prices in the United States have surged over the past couple of months, from $3.42 for a dozen on January 10 to $8.03 on February 26, according to Department of Agriculture figures. This has been damaging for Trump who argued that President Joe Biden's policies had caused grocery prices to surge ahead of the 2024 election.

These are the places reported surveyed and the winner is

Trader Joe’s: TJ’s  a Dozen Cage Free White Eggs and Brown Eggs, both $3.49
