The Academy Awards were probably the least favorite in history not only because of what happened at the end, but their television ratings were dismal. http://www.vulture.com/2017/02/2017-oscars-ratings-pretty-bad-but-no-di…

While trying to sort out the Oscar best picture ballot presenter fiasco. Finger-pointing at Warren Beatty is not necessary. He can be charming, but as someone who has met and worked with Warren, I can say that he's challenging during interactions. For the record, he hired and paid me handsomely for my small part in his film, BULLWORTH https://youtu.be/XA62refAB2w

Some Monday morning quarterbacks have stated that Mr. Beatty should've, would've, or could have said, “There's a problem.” But Warren is not one to blurt out anything publicly. Some say if Faye Dunaway hadn’t been so quick on the draw, Beatty may have had time to collect himself. I say no one should judge if you’ve never been on live television, especially on one of the biggest broadcasts. PricewaterhouseCoopers has apologized, this will follow Warren, and it should not be that way. Who will tighten the screws on the biggest screw-up in Oscar history? Academy sources say there was a meeting after the telecast, and that Oscar toppers were livid when reps for PwC didn't take responsibility for the error and resisted an immediate statement.
“PwC takes full responsibility for the series of mistakes and breaches of established protocols during last night’s Oscars,” the new statement says. “PwC partner Brian Cullinan mistakenly handed the backup envelope for Actress in a Leading Role instead of the envelope for Best Picture to presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. Once the error occurred, protocols for correcting it were not followed through quickly enough by Mr. Cullinan or his partner.” Perhaps, next time, IBM's Watson computer could handle the entire process?

Jimmy Kimmel "What Warren did is he was confused so he handed it to Faye and let her read the winner," ... "In other words, Clyde threw Bonnie under the bus. It was a slick move." "People around me said, 'oh did you pull a prank of some kind,'" ... "If I had pulled a prank I wouldn’t just have the wrong winner’s name on the envelope. when they opened it there would be like a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon at the end of it." STAY TUNED... In the meantime, here are other past OSCAR Oh, Oh moments.
