Three individuals have been executed in the United State of America is the past 24 hours. More today? We've come a long way since the old days, or have we?

There had been no U.S. executions in the seven weeks since an Oklahoma inmate died of a heart attack following a botched lethal injection. That soon changed, with three convicted killers executed in the span of about 24 hours.

All three states chose lethal injections. Florida, Georgia and Missouri. Lawyers for the condemned inmates have challenged the secretive process used by some states to obtain lethal injection drugs from unnamed, loosely regulated compounding pharmacies.

John Ruthell Henry was pronounced dead tonight. The State of Florida executed him for stabbing his wife and her young son to death back in 1985.
