Fathers Day Weekend

Submitted by ub on

I loved my dad but did not tell him nearly half as many time as I should have. Thanks, Dad for everything you taught me. Now, ss a proud father and grandpa, I wish I were closer to my kids, who no longer live with me and have started their own lives. My two daughters and their families live in Califonia and my son who says he's going to be a lifelong bachelor moved out some time ago.

However, one one hand I must count my blessings because they only reach out when they want advice, or just to say hi, but not to ask for money because they need any financial support. On the other hand, I wish this great nation had a current father figure.

Friends have reached out seeking help and support with their younger sons, so I still practice the art of being a father figure.

Fatherlessness is harder on Father's Day, but 'father figures,' other role models fill in https://usat.ly/2tbAe0q
